Upsell Prompt Interface for Drive-Thru POS

Sole senior designer responsible for the POS interface of DriveUp, an AI-powered upsell prompt system for drive-thru staff. Designed within a constrained, existing POS environment to surface contextual prompts without disrupting order flow. Pilot across 8 locations lifted upsell attempt rate by ~15 percentage points and grew average revenue per order by ~30%.

AI-Powered Operational Knowledge

Sole designer on a six-week discovery sprint for a major UK water utility, a safety-critical AI product with no prior design precedent. Made the strategic reframe that shifted the project from document search improvement to contextual AI guidance: a different product, a different investment, a different business case. Delivered a working high-fidelity prototype in five days that closed stakeholder alignment and unlocked MVP funding.

Qore Banking Platform, Redesigning a Product That Was Losing Clients

Qore Banking Platform, Redesigning a Product That Was Losing Clients

Qore builds banking infrastructure for commercial banks across Africa. Banks license Qore's platform and deploy it to their own customers as a white-labelled digital banking product, so Qore's users come in two tiers: the banks who buy the platform, and the millions of end customers those banks serve through it. I led the redesign of the end-customer product: the app a bank's customers use to move money, pay bills, and manage their accounts. That two-tier structure is the whole reason this redesign mattered commercially. Qore was losing bank clients at 17% a year, roughly one in six commercial-bank clients leaving per year, well above the B2B fintech category average. The reason banks gave for leaving traced directly to the end-customer experience: a fragmented product their customers struggled with reflected badly on the bank, and at contract renewal that friction became a reason to switch providers. I couldn't fix churn by talking to banks. I had to fix it in the product their customers actually touched.

Pryme, Building a Card Issuance Platform from the Ground Up

Pryme, Building a Card Issuance Platform from the Ground Up

In sub-Saharan Africa, getting a debit card meant going to a branch, filling out paper forms, and waiting up to a week. For a large share of account holders, that friction was enough to give up entirely: no card, no digital payments, no connection to the ecosystem banks were building toward. Pryme replaced that with a Card Vending Machine (CVM), a self-service kiosk installed in bank branches, ATM-like, with a touchscreen, camera, fingerprint scanner, and an onboard card printer. A customer walks up, confirms their account, verifies their identity by OTP or biometrics, chooses a PIN, and walks away with a printed, activated card linked to their account. No teller, no paperwork, under three minutes.

David delivered exceptional designs for the Borders & Trade proof of concept, building a fully functional app prototype in Figma Make in a single afternoon. He presented our Agentic Outreach concept to the client, building three separate platforms to bring the story to life, and it was very well received. He consistently pushes boundaries with tools like Figma Make and Screen Studio to communicate a vision quickly and effectively.

David was paramount in interviewing 19 stakeholders and translating that research into high-fidelity personas, process maps, and key insights, resulting in 14 concept ideas. He elevated our pitch decks with strong visual design and concise information architecture. When we needed a working prototype in three to five days, he leveraged Figma and V0 to deliver a high-fidelity, vibe-coded prototype based on real user scenarios.
