01About

Design that ships, in rooms where the stakes are real.

I'm David, a senior product designer with 9 years across fintech, open banking, and AI. I've been the founding designer of a bank, the design lead on a platform serving 500+ institutions, and a consultant to teams that can't afford a shaky release.

02Story

The short version, honestly.

I started designing for money in 2016, literal money. Retail banking, cards, a mobile-first neobank in a market where most people had never trusted an app with their savings. That work taught me the first rule I still design by: if a product costs someone their pay-cheque, clarity is not a preference, it is the whole job.

Since then I've been the founding designer of Pryme, led design at Qore across 500+ financial institutions, and now consult from Capgemini on regulated, high-stakes platforms. Along the way I've shipped in open banking, KYC, treasury, and, for the last two years, AI products, where the interesting question is always where the human belongs.

I like teams that talk plainly, ship weekly, and disagree well. I dislike design that hides behind polish. Outside of work you'll usually find me with a coffee, a notebook, and a football match I refuse to admit is boring.

04Beyond work

The rest of the person behind the pixels.

When I'm not wearing my Batman cape unraveling complex design problems, you'll find me hiking, exploring new destinations, and spending time with the people that matter most.

I sing and play piano, follow Formula 1 with near-religious dedication, and have re-watched the entire runs of "The Big Bang Theory" and "New Girl" at least twenty times each.
